ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Nicholas Sumner was born in Africa and grew up in Nigeria and England. He now lives in Canada with a wife, five daughters and a neurotic dog of uncertain parentage. Before he became a writer, he earned a living as a photographer and his work was represented by National Geographic Images until the closure of the agency in December 2020. Drake's Drum is his first published alternate history novel. In 2012 he published a travel book called Available Light which was published by Matador. He is also the author of the Foskits, the Kiwi Bird and the Blue Brontosaurus series of Children's books published by Sergeant Frosty Publications.
